IMPAQT is a music festival in Weeze , where mainly hardstyle and hardcore techno was played. Until 2018 the festival was called Q-Base .

Events

2004

On September 18, 2004, Q-Base was held for the first time by the Dutch organizer Q-Dance . A part of the old RAF base north of Niederrhein Airport was used as the event site. This venue has already been used by the Bizarre Festival . 25,000 guests took part in the event, 20,000 of whom were Dutch. 80 artists from six European countries played on the eight stages in the old shelters .

2005

Q-Base 2005

On September 10, 2005, a second, smaller event took place in Weeze. Around 12,000 guests took part in the event. 70 artists were distributed over nine stages, with an open-air stage being newly built. The military character of the airport was emphasized by exhibiting army vehicles and camouflage.

2006

On September 9, 2006, the festival took place again on the former RAF site. The motto was "From Daylight Into Darkness". Over 20,000 guests from all over Europe took part. 80 artists played on the eight stages, one of which was an open-air stage.

2007

On September 8, 2007, the festival took place for the fourth time under the title “From Daylight into Darkness”. The 100 DJs played on ten stages and an open-air area.

2008

On August 30, 2008 the festival took place for the fifth time. Approx. 22,000 visitors were counted.

2009

On September 12, 2009, Q-Base took place again at Niederrhein Airport. About 30,000 guests attended the event under the motto “Participate in the Research” this year.

2010

On September 11, 2010, the seventh edition of Q-Base took place again at Niederrhein Airport under the motto “Lost in Dreams”. According to the organizer, there were around 20,000 visitors at the event. This year the "Drop Your Own Area" (DYOA) took place for the first time. Here, users can present their ideas to the community, which then determines the winner by voting. In 2010 "TK07" won with their project "The Neverending Party".

2011

The eighth Q-Base took place on September 10, 2011 under the motto "Raveolution". With “Hit n 'Run” and “Andere Koek!” There were two winners in the “Drop Your Own Area” contest.

2012

On September 8, 2012, the ninth Q-Base took place under the motto “Positive Anarchy / Fight For Your Right To Rave”. For the first time there was a Q-Base Ambassador program for Germany. In addition, 7 hymns were produced for the first time for Q-Base. "Temple of Anarchy" won the "Drop Your Own Area" contest.

2013

The festival took place on September 7th under the motto "Enter The Twilight Zone". For the tenth edition of the festival 4 hymns were produced. For the first time in history, the event is sold out.

2014

On September 13, the eleventh edition of the Q-Base took place in an enlarged version under the motto "Creatures of the Night". The enlarged open-air stage was repositioned and a few more stages were housed in larger tents. This year, like last year, 4 hymns were produced.

2015

The twelfth edition of the Q-Base took place on September 12, 2015 under the motto "Lock ´N´ Load". Around 25,000 guests attended the event.

2016

The 13th edition of Q-Base took place on September 10, 2016. The motto was "Die Hards Only". About 30,000 guests attended the event.

2017

The 14th edition of the Q-Base Festival took place on September 9, 2017. The "Die Hards Only" motto from the previous year was adhered to & around 30,000 people took part in the event.

2018

On September 8, 2018, the Q-Base Festival took place for the last time under the theme "The Final Mission". The organizer Q-Dance presented a new concept at Niederrhein Airport in the following year, more details were announced on April 6, 2019.

2019

Q-Dance announced that the new replacement for Q-Base is called "IMPAQT" via a poster placed at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam for the "Qapital" event. The first Impaqt edition is called "Festival of Titans". It will take place on September 7, 2019. The length of the festival runs from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day.
