QDI Group was a Chinese hardware manufacturer, especially motherboards , that belonged to the Legend Group (now Lenovo ). The products were sold under the QDI Legend brand. In 1995 it received the ISO9001 and BS5750 awards. In 2001 the ISO 14001 certification followed. As of March 2000, the company manufactured 500,000 mainboards a month. On a global level, over three million motherboards were sold each year. QDI claims to be one of the largest mainboard manufacturers and has over 1,600 employees in ten locations worldwide.

On August 25, 2003, the company reorganized into a holding company, QDI Holdings Limited , based in the British Virgin Islands as a subsidiary of Ultimate Legend Limited there. QDI's subsidiaries were Hui Yang Legend Computer Co. Ltd. ( Chinese  惠陽 聯想 電腦 有限公司 ), Legend-QDI Spain, SL, QDI Computer (UK) Ltd., QDI Computer Handels GmbH, QDI Europe BV and QDI System Handel GmbH. At the end of 2003 Ramaxel took over 50% of the shares in QDI. In 2004 QDI withdrew from the German mainboard division. Since then, their international homepage has not been updated either. Since 2010/2011, that of the Ramaxel company can be found under the previous website qdigrp.com.
