QRV amateur radio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

QRV: Amateur Radio - independent amateur radio magazine , was one from 1946 to 1980 published amateur radio - magazine . It was published in A5 format .

Frequency of publication

QRV: Amateur Radio appeared for the first time with issue 10/1946.

From issue 12/1950 to issue 12/1971, the magazine appeared together with the association organ CQ of the German Amateur Radio Club as the association magazine Das DL-QTC , with only one separate issue (1/1968) in the Körner Verlag.

In the course of the dispute over the Baunatal amateur radio center , it appeared again independently from 12/1971 until it was discontinued with issue 12/1980. The DARC club magazine has been the CQ DL since then .

With the QRV , the advertising section HAM-Börse appeared as a supplement , also with the DL-QTC, with its own editorial team.

content

In QRV , at least in its second independent publication period from 1971, articles from the field of amateur radio technology were found; but also editorials and association news, which for the most part dealt critically with the DARC.

As early as 1972 there was a license test column in the QRV by Eckart KW Moltrecht (known under the callsign DJ4UF), who at the time published test questions from the drafts for the license tests and from memory transcripts and provided a sample solution in the next issue.

history

The second independent period of publication was preceded by a tangible dispute about the generation and change of direction of the DARC, which was expressed in the move of the DARC offices from Kiel and Munich to the newly built amateur radio center Baunatal.

The QRV gathered a number of radio amateurs around them, who saw an incalculable financial risk in the Baunatal amateur radio center and did not want to support the premium increases that were necessary at the time.

In critical editorials, the QRV also referred to board broadcasts , which were interpreted in such a way that the DARC wanted to bring the representation of the IARU region 1 from London to Baunatal (e.g. 3/1972).

editor

QRV was issued to Wolfram Felix Körner , DL1CU. Both it and the resulting magazine Das DL-QTC during the merger with CQ was produced by the Körner publishing house in Gerlingen .
