Qadah (measure of measure)

Qadah ( Arabic قدح, DMG qadaḥ ) was an Egyptian measure of volume . A distinction was made between the small and the large qadah.

  • 1 Qadah (small) = 0.94 liters
  • 1 Qadah (large) = 1.88 liters
    • 8 Qadah = 1 Waiba
    • 48 Qadah = 1 earth fig

In recent times only one Qadah has been officially established and the values ​​are:

  • 1 Qadah = 2.062 liters
  • 1 Qīrāt = 1/32 Qadah = 0.064 liters
