Qasr Abu Hadi ( Arabic قصر أبو هادي, DMG Qaṣr Abū Hādī ) is a suburb of Sirte in Libya located 15 kilometers to the south . The place is considered the birthplace of Muammar al-Gaddafi . In 2011 almost 5,000 people lived there. According to the 2006 census, there were 4890 inhabitants.

Sirte's airport, Gardabya , is just two kilometers west of Qasr Abu Hadi.

On October 3, 2011, units of the Libyan National Liberation Army captured Qasr Abu Hadi after three days of fighting in the course of the civil war in Libya . Grad rocket launchers and snipers were used in the fighting, and the water, medicine and power supply collapsed.
