Qin Guli

Qin Guli ( Chinese  禽 滑 釐  /  禽 滑 厘 ) (approx. 470–400 B.C.E.) was a Chinese philosopher from the early Warring States period .

He belonged to the school of the Mohists and was one of its leading representatives. He had previously trained with the high-ranking Confucius student Zixia .

The text Mozi ("Meister Mo"), which Alfred Forke translated into German (1922), provides important information about him . He is also mentioned in the Daoist works Zhuangzi and Liezi .

Name variants

His name is spelled very differently in Chinese. Some sinologists also read it Qin Huali.
