Qiuzhen Yin

Qiuzhen Yin is a climate scientist . She is an associate professor at the Université catholique de Louvain .

Life

Yin completed her bachelor's degree in geology at the Chinese University of Geosciences in 2001 , and her doctoral degree in quaternary geology at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006 . From 2006 she worked as a postdoc at the Université catholique de Louvain until she was appointed associate professor there in 2013.

Act

Yin's research focuses on understanding the differences between the interglacials (= interglacials). Her main goals include understanding the apparent paradox that a strong East Asian summer monsoon occurred during a relatively cool interglacial MIS-13 , as well as modeling the interglacial climate of the last one million years, the interactions between climate , inland ice and carbon cycle during the Interglacials and the interglacial climate-soil interactions over the Chinese loess plateau. She often works with André Berger .

Yin has received numerous awards for her work.
