QlikView is, along with Qlik Sense , one of the main products of the software company QlikTech , which is headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania . QlikView belongs to the business intelligence software category .
QlikView is an analysis and reporting system. The associative in-memory search technology analyzes data and provides the user with knowledge and insights into his business data.
QlikView offers analyzes of information that is held in main memory (memory-based analysis). Data from different sources (including relational databases , Microsoft Excel and text files , web services , and applications such as Salesforce.com , SAP R / 3 or SAP BW ) can be linked with one another and visualized in graphics and tables. The data storage in QlikView is based on a multidimensional database , which is kept in the main memory and offers OLAP functionality.
Version 11 of QlikView was released in November 2011. The current version 12 appeared in December 2015. In addition to the commercial version, there is a free "Personal Edition" for private use on the website.
