Qobustan National Park

The Qobustan National Park (fully. Azerbaijan. Name: Qobustan Dövlət tarixi-bədii qoruğu; kyrill .: Гобустан Дөвләт тарихи-бәдии горуу, German  "State historical-artistic protection area" Qobustan , in the west of Azerbaijan ) is immediately about 50 km southwest of Baku .

He is known for his Stone Age rock carvings , which were discovered in the 1930s. In 1966 the national park was established. The area covers an area of ​​around 44 km² and includes the elevations Böyküdaş dağı (201 m) in the center, Cinqirdağ (236 m) in the north and Kiçikdaş dağı (117 m) in the south.

In 2007, the sites of rock paintings were for World Heritage of UNESCO appointed.
