Quantya Track in a Quantypark

The Quantya SA is a corporation founded in 2005 by entrepreneur Claudio Dick in Switzerland company dedicated to the development and production of sport electric motorcycles busy. The company resides in the Paradiso suburb of Lugano . The most important product is the Quantya EVO1 Track electric motocross motorcycle. In addition, a version derived from the Track with road approval, the Quantya EVO1 Strada, is offered. In 2018, bankruptcy proceedings were initiated against QUANTYA SA and discontinued due to lack of assets.

Quantya EVO1 track

The electric motocross bike can achieve speeds of up to 70 km / h, depending on the setting.

The reserve canister sized 48 volt lithium polymer battery from the South Korean supplier Kokam weighs 19 kilograms and stores around 2.3 kilowatt hours of energy. With a charging time of 2 hours, a journey time of 30 to 180 minutes is possible. A full charge costs between 40 and 50 cents for the energy plus 200 cents for the battery (approx. € 2000 for 1000 battery charges). The motor comes from England, the motor controller comes from the American company Alltrax Inc.

The Axial-Gap-DC-Brush-Motor has a maximum of 12 kW (= 16.3 HP) and a torque of max. 31.5 Nm, the 92 kg motorcycle and the driver have to move. The power of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheel via a toothed belt and chain. Front wheel 2.75 × 19 "and rear wheel 3.50 × 18" each have a spring travel of 245 mm and 270 mm. The seat height of the 2 meter long motorcycle is 92 cm.

The motorcycle is braked by two hand brake levers using disc brakes with single-piston calipers.

The price is 9,282 euros, of which the battery accounts for around 2000 euros. The factory warranty guarantees 1000 battery charges (corresponds to approx. 50,000 km) or two years.

Quantya EVO1 Strada

The Strada has an output of 8.5 kW, weighs 95 kg and is approved for the road. The possible travel time is 30 to 180 minutes. The price is 8075 euros (excluding VAT).
