content

A running gag of the series is that the little troll Quark, after annoying his parents or other trolls with cheeky actions, was grabbed by the back of his shirt by his father and kicked another place in this world. This allowed Quark to continue his pranks in those other places and thus annoy other living beings, such as grim bears or angry Santa Claus.

Creation and publication

The drawings of the comic are by Günter Mayrhofer , the text by Wolfgang J. Fuchs . The Comic Quark was published from November 1987 to 1988 by Bavaria Comic Verlag in Germany. The subtitle of the comic was The Little Giant from Film and Television and the cover said “Quark is strong !!” . Six volumes were published, each with two stories, one of which was an adaptation of a series of animated films and one was fictitious. In addition, there were four editorial and advertising pages in the editions. The booklets were published in large format with 36 pages each. The first stories of the six volumes are:

  1. Quark: How it all started ... (Intro)
