history

Two years after the founding, Quarks released their debut album Heimat on Monika Enterprise in 1997 . Her CD Wiederkomm , also published by Monika and limited to 500 copies , was also recorded in Japanese under the title Kikyo .

In 1999 there was a tour for the album Queen, which was released in the same year . The third album Trigger Me Happy , which was released in 2002, was released on the Sony Music sub-label Home Records. For this album they worked with producer Christoph Maria Kaiser and designed a synth-pop album with him .

After another tour, Quarks took a creative break to release the album Quarksland in 2004. The separation of the duo was already decided during the album recordings, although in November 2004 there was a concert appearance in Vietnam for the TV show Friendship Melody , which, according to the organizers, reached around 40 million TV viewers.

Jovanka von Wilsdorf founded the group "Scheining" in 2009 with the US guitarist Joe Czarnecki, which recorded their first album in the summer of 2010, although it was only for sale for a short time. In 2013 they both went their separate ways again.
