Quartera

The quartera was a Spanish measure of volume. A distinction was made between a grain measure , which was valid in Catalonia ( Barcelona ) and the Balearic Islands , and a liquid and wine measure on these Spanish islands.

The liquid measure was only used for wine and brandy in the Balearic Islands.

  • 6 ½ quartenas = 1 quartino
  • 26 quartenas = 1 carga
