Quartera
The quartera was a Spanish measure of volume. A distinction was made between a grain measure , which was valid in Catalonia ( Barcelona ) and the Balearic Islands , and a liquid and wine measure on these Spanish islands.

- 1 Quartera = 6 Barcella = 36 Almudas = 3637 Parisian cubic inches = 72 1/14 liters
liquid measure
- Balearic Islands
The liquid measure was only used for wine and brandy in the Balearic Islands.
- 1 quartera = 196 Parisian cubic inches = 3 8/9 liters = 3.8879 liters
- 6 ½ quartenas = 1 quartino
- 26 quartenas = 1 carga
