The Queensland pouch -footed mouse ( Antechinus godmani ) is a species of marsupial mammal from the genus of the broad-foot pouch mice . It was first described by the biologist Thomas in 1923, but for a long time was considered to be specific to the yellow-footed pouch mouse .

This pouch mouse is one of the larger representatives of its genus, its fur is colored reddish brown to dull brown. The tail is almost entirely hairless.

The species lives in rainforests in northeast Queensland ( Australia ). It is probably nocturnal or crepuscular and feeds mainly on bottom-dwelling invertebrates .

The mating season is between July and August, after which all males die, as with other members of the genus. Nests are built in hollow trees, waste or epiphytes .

Antechinus godmani is listed as not endangered by the IUCN .
