Source Tower, 2011

The Quelleturm is a 90-meter-high advertising tower in Nuremberg that was built in 1964 according to plans by Ernst Neufert and emerged from a chimney . In the spring of 2006, the tower was added to the list of monuments of the city of Nuremberg as part of the Wandererstraße 89 ensemble.

Inside the tower there are two brick chimneys - there used to be three - and an elevator. Since the conversion to district heating around the year 2000, the tower has only been used for advertising purposes.

The neon sign, consisting of four large stretched-out tarpaulins with the Quelle company logo, was renewed in 2002 and led to complaints from residents about light nuisance , as the renewed system with its four 8 m × 8 m tarpaulins and a power of 13 kW per tarpaulin is significantly brighter was than before. Therefore, the tarpaulins are no longer illuminated today.
