The cross-floor window is a rectangular window area which, in contrast to cross-floor windows, is only divided into two individual windows by a cross-floor profile. Functionally and creatively, it largely corresponds to the fighter window .

The window frames can be made of stone or wood .

Cross-storey windows are mainly found in castles, medieval town halls and town halls.
