Query Island (from English query 'doubt, inquiry' ) is a striking and rocky island off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the south side of Mikkelsen Bay , it lies between the foothills of Clarke Glacier and Keyhole Island .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey first surveyed and named the island in 1948. It was named after the fact that from a certain distance it was unclear whether it was an island or part of the mainland coast.
