Quiet Days in Clichy is the soundtrack to the Danish feature film Stille Tage in Clichy by Jens Jørgen Thorsen from 1970 based on the novel by Henry Miller . The title track Quiet Days in Clichy made it into the charts of Germany, Holland and Scandinavia.

Country Joe McDonald was hired to produce the film music as solo guitarist and singer only a short time after he became known at the Woodstock Festival . The result was five guitar pieces, some instrumental and some Country Joe singing leads through the film. For his successful title song, which he also performed after the film, McDonald was later criticized as misogynistic because of quotes from Henry Miller, see also Silent Days in Clichy , Music section .
