The Quintero y Hno , today only Quintero for short , is a Cuban cigar brand of Habanos SA For some time now there have also been cigars called Quintero by the Spanish-French tobacco company Altadis , which are made from Nicaraguan and / or Honduran tobacco.

Augustin Quintero and his four brothers founded the cigar manufacturer Quintero y Hermanos (Eng. Quintero and Brothers ) in 1924 in Cienfuegos , the capital of the province of the same name in Cuba. Since the Quintero has been produced in a factory in Havana since 1940 , where it processes tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo growing area , it has been considered a “real Havana”, with the main production still being in Cienfuegos.

The Quintero is one of the most commonly purchased in Germany Cuban longfiller -cigars, of which there different formats available, also called short filler are offered. It is considered to be medium to strong in taste.
