Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus Silanus was a politician during the Roman Empire .

Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus Silanus was consul in 7 AD. Between 12/13 and the end of 17 AD he was consular legate of Syria . Silanus took King Vonones, who had been driven out of Armenia, into protective custody. When Germanicus was sent to the East, Tiberius replaced him, supposedly because his daughter Junia was engaged to the Germanicus son Nero Julius Caesar .
