Brigitte Antonius (born January 27, 1933 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .

life and career

The Burgenlander works in theater , film and television . In the past she had stage engagements at the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Vienna Burgtheater , the Schauspielhaus Graz and the Lower Saxony State Theater in Hanover . Her most important works in the film include Ene, mene Muh and tot bist du by Houchang Allahyari 1999 and Komm sweeter Tod by Wolfgang Murnberger 2000. Since the late 1990s, Antonius has been working increasingly on German television, where she has various guest roles in well-known TV series and recurring parts in Klinik unter Palmen (2001) or the telenovela Rote Rosen (since 2006). She has been the only actress with Rote Rosen without a break since the first episode in November 2006. In February 2014 it was announced that from April 2014 (episode 1695) Antonius will take a longer break from filming for the first time, but that her return is firmly planned. She returned to the series at the end of May 2014 (episode 1726), but has only made a few appearances since then.

Social and social engagement

Antonius is the bearer of the Silver Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria , as well as the Great Gold Medal of Honor of the State of Styria and the Medal of Honor of the City of Graz for artistic merit.
