Class reunion is a German television film by Wolfgang F. Henschel from 2003 based on a script by Doris Jahn . It is the 43rd episode of the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz with Ottfried Fischer as the main actor in the role of Chief Inspector Benno Berghammer. It was first broadcast on October 8, 2003 on Sat.1 .

action

Resi Berghammer organizes a class reunion in the rectory of Prelate Hinter. The old conflicts among the women flare up again. The hated Margarethe Oberklammer is the first to leave the event and has Prelate Hinter drive her to the hotel. There she was found dead in the bathtub the next morning. Forensic doctor Dr. Sprung found that the victim had taken a sleeping pill along with alcohol, which was life-threatening in itself, but not responsible for death. Frau Oberklammer drowned. When asked whether she could also have been drowned, he said he saw no signs of violence, but given the condition of Ms. Oberklammer, a child would have managed to submerge her. Since the drowned woman's jewelry box is empty, the commissioners investigate in the direction of robbery and murder.

All participants in the class reunion come into question as perpetrators, but also the 50-year-old son of the victim, Wolfgang Oberklammer, and hotel guest Max Mayer, who has been writing for weeks and has tried his luck with wealthy women. Even Prelate Hinter stands out for his strange behavior. However, this is due to the fact that Wolfgang Oberklammer showed him a letter in which his father, the late former mayor Gustav Hinter, tells Wolfgang that he is his father, which is why the prelate sees his father's memory tainted when it becomes public.

Inspector Berghammer no longer wants to live under one roof with the participants of the class reunion in the “Pension Resi”, whereupon his mother and her former schoolmates move to a youth hostel.

In an interrogation, Rosemarie Assanger admits that, at a suggestion by Elfie Reichinger, Ms. Oberklammer slipped a praline with sleeping pills so that she would get tired and leave the party early.

Klara, who is already somewhat demented, finds a necklace that belonged to the victim in the closet of the geriatric nurse Hilda Bacher. When Resi Berghammer tries to take the jewelry off to take it to the police, Klara defends herself and the chain breaks. At that moment Benno Berghammer appears and has the entire ladies arrested by police officer Pfeiffer.

When the commissioners Berghammer and Lorenz learned from Hilda Bacher that they had observed Max Mayer disposing of a towel in which the victim's necklace was, the victim admits that he had broken into Margarethe Oberklammer's room and stole the chain ; However, he does not want to have anything to do with the murder; after leaving the room he had run into an elderly lady on the stairwell whom he would certainly recognize. During the interrogation, Mr. Mayer collapses and is taken to hospital on suspicion of a heart attack, where it is not initially confirmed. But when Max Mayer accidentally discovers the lady he met in the hotel, he collapses again - this time fatally because the said lady, Hilda Bacher, thinks he is a simulator. Under the increasing pressure to investigate, she said that Gustav Hinter had given her a letter with the request to send it to Wolfgang Oberklammer. She read the letter and found out the real reason for the breakup of her engagement 50 years ago. When she confronted Ms. Oberklammer, she climbed into the bathtub unmoved and scoffed that she needed a wealthy father for her child, so she unceremoniously seduced the fiancé. She shouldn't be in a queue and rather scrub her back. That brought the barrel to overflowing and she submerged Margarethe Oberklammer in anger until she stopped moving. It was not her intention to kill her, but she regrets nothing; she was sorry only for the old man.
