Ernst von Theumer junior , also Ernst Ritter von Theumer ; (Born May 13, 1949 in Wörgl , Tyrol , Austria ) is an Austrian film producer on German television.

Life

The von Theumer family can be traced back to the year 1780. Theumer's father of the same name, Ernst Ritter von Theumer senior , has been working as a cameraman since the 1950s and later made a name for himself as a film producer and director with countless action films (including In Hell ist noch Platz , Camp der Verdammten , Der Satan mit der Rote Haar , Perry Rhodan - SOS from space , Die Totenschmecker ). Theumer junior came across him after training as a film technician in the television film industry.

Just 30 years old, he was brought in by WDR as production manager for the ARD crime series Tatort and was also involved in the production of the first Tatort movie in 1985, the Schimanski crime thriller Tooth for Tooth . After a large movie, Gabriel Baryllis Butterbrot , Theumer junior concentrated entirely on developing material and producing television productions. He was particularly successful with the audience with the ARD early evening series Aufachse with Manfred Krug , whose lawyer series Liebling Kreuzberg he also produced, the ZDF early evening series Our Teacher Doctor Specht with Robert Atzorn and, from the mid-1990s, with the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz with Ottfried Fischer granted. Later, Theumer also repeatedly produced individual productions for different broadcasters.

Ernst Ritter von Theumer is the managing director of the Munich- based production company Alexander-Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH. He is married to Daniela von Theumer , b. Harder.
