characters

The crimes committed in Murnau are cleared up by Inspector Mark Brenner and his colleague Rebecca Lerchinger. They get help from forensic specialist Dr. Siegfried "Sigi" Jahn and public prosecutor Dr. Benedikt Mayerle. Rebecca has an affair with him. Mark, on the other hand, is in the middle of a divorce from his wife Anette, with whom he has a son. His godfather and Mark's favorite enemy, Josef Frebert, constantly interferes in the divorce, as he is Anette's lawyer.

Mark Brenner

He is chief inspector, in his late 30s and chief of the station. Often he appears very selfish and self-confident. But as behind every rough shell, there is also a soft core hidden in it. In the first season the focus of his private life is initially on the divorce from his wife Anette, mayor of Murnau, doctor and mother. This is difficult for their son Jonas at first, but he gets used to it over time. Mark and Dr. Mayerle, the public prosecutor, haven't gotten really warm to each other yet. In the eyes of the chief inspector, this is nothing more than a currant crap .

Rebecca Lerchinger

She is in her late twenties and is the right-hand man of Chief Inspector Brenner. The two together make a very persistent and clever duo that solves every case. Mark often chases her around, which the cheeky Murnauerin doesn't always put up with. She has an affair with prosecutor Dr. Mayerle. Even if she hopes for more from their relationship, it will stay with the evening rendezvous in your own four walls. In the second season, the relationship between the two begins to develop in the direction of love, although Dr. Mayerle does not want to damage his image and the relationship remains a secret.
