Quintus Iulius Balbus (Consul 85)

Quintus Iulius Balbus was a Roman politician living in the 1st century AD .

A military diploma dated September 5, 85, proves that Balbus 85 was together with Decimus Aburius Bassus a suffect consul . His name is also partially preserved in the Fasti Ostienses . Around 100/101 he was governor ( proconsul ) in the province of Asia .
