Quintus Iulius Maximus

Quintus Iulius Maximus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A dedicatory inscription that was found at the Vercovicium fort and which is dated to 138/161 shows that Maximus was prefect of the Cohors I Tungrorum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time .
