Quintus Pompeius Rufus (Caesar's father-in-law)
Quintus Pompeius Rufus († 88 BC ) was a member of the Roman nobility of the late republic .
His father of the same name was consul in 88 BC. The younger Pompeius Rufus was killed in rioting that year by supporters of the tribune Publius Sulpicius Rufus .
Rufus was married to Cornelia, a daughter of Lucius Cornelius Sulla from his first marriage to an Ilia. The couple had two children, the son Quintus Pompeius Rufus and the daughter Pompeia , who became Gaius Julius Caesar's second wife .
