Quorn Hall
Quorn Hall is a listed country house in Quorn , Leicestershire, England , near the River Soar .
As early as the 15th century, a predecessor building called Nether Hall is believed to have existed at this point , which the local Farnham family , influenced by numerous renovations, is still in part as a wall remnant. The current building, a three-story brick structure, was erected around 1680.
In 1773 the country estate was bought by Hugo Meynell (1735-1808), MP in the British House of Commons. Dog breeding for par force hunting was carried out here. That well-known breed for fox hunting, Quorn Hunt , was preserved until 1906.
During the Second World War, navy teams were trained in the house.
From 1983 to 2012 a country school home was integrated in Quorn Hall. Due to a contract between the county and Saarland , 50,000 students could be accommodated for class trips.
