Remy Couvez
Rémy Couvez (born before 1981) is a French musician and composer . His instrument is the hurdy-gurdy .
Couvez began playing the hurdy-gurdy professionally in 1981. On his albums up to 2000 he combined the instrument, known since the 10th century, with acoustic guitar, percussion and electronic instruments such as synthesizer , electric guitar and electric bass. In addition to the release of three albums, he was composing for theater and dance theater at this time . After the 2000 album Wheeling Dance , he gave up the use of electronic instruments and composed exclusively for instrumental ensembles .
