The Ría de Tina Menor is a ría in northern Spain, located in the west of the Cantabrian coast in the municipality of Val de San Vicente ; it is the estuary of the Río Nansa river .

The start of the ría lies in the south of the town of Val de San Vicente, which has almost 3000 inhabitants, and can be started when crossing the Camino de la Costa (Cantabrian coastal motorway / European route 70 / Autopista AP-8 ). There it is still relatively narrow due to the current. Towards the sea it widens considerably in a sack-like shape and due to the tides there are extensive wasteland zones and vegetation typical of wetlands. The 100 meter wide estuary to the Bay of Biscay lies between two steep, 200 meter high hills; On the east side is the sandy beach of Playa del Sable , which is several hundred meters long . To the south of it there are some dykes that regulate the inflow of seawater to fish farms in aquaculture .

In the past, the dock and port of Muñorrodero also had a certain importance: iron ore from the mining areas that was smelted in the Nansa basin has been shipped here since at least 1404.

The north-south length of the estuary is around one and a half kilometers, the greatest width is around 400 meters.
