Río Grande Mascicuri ( Reserva Forestal Río Grande Mascicuri ) is a forest reserve in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

The forest reserve has an area of ​​2,420 km² and extends to the left and right of the Bolivian Río Grande from km 465 to km 610 in the border area between the department of Chuquisaca and the department of Santa Cruz .

The gorges of the Río Grande and its side valleys in this region gained international attention in 1967 when the Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara tracked down here on October 8th in the gorge Quebrada del Churo (also: " Quebrada del Yuro ") by Bolivian government troops and on was shot the following day.
