Rödelheim Hartreim Projekt ( RHP ) was a German-speaking hip-hop band.
history
The Rödelheim Hartreim project was founded in 1993 by Moses Pelham and Thomas Hofmann and is named after the Rödelheim district of Frankfurt . In the same year, the duo worked with Martin Haas and his partner Robert Sattler on the debut album Direkt aus Rödelheim , which was released the following year and sold over 160,000 times in 1994. Involved in this album were the still unknown Sabrina Setlur (as sister S.) and Xavier Naidoo as guests .
In 1996, the second studio album, Zurück nach Rödelheim , was released, of which over 180,000 copies were sold in the year of publication and which went straight to number 3 in the German charts. Guitarist Marcus Deml was a guest on this album as well as on the live album Live from Rödelheim .
Despite the success, the band broke up after two studio albums and one live album. A third studio album called Odyssey in Rödelheim was planned , but it was never released.
Ten years after its publication, Direkt aus Rödelheim was awarded a gold record for more than 250,000 copies sold in Germany .
