The Røstbank ( Norwegian : Røstbanken ) is a large under the sea lying sandbar off the west coast of Norway .

The Røstbank is located about 100 kilometers off the west coast of Norway; west of Lofoten .

The Røstbank is approx. 200 kilometers long (in north-south direction) and approx. 100 kilometers wide (in west-east direction). The area covers about 20,000 square kilometers.

The Røstbank is considered a good fishing area. Fish species such as B. Cod and plaice prefer to stay in the shallow water zones because of the slightly warmer water. There are oil and gas deposits in the sea area of ​​the Røstbank.
