The Rued, Blass & Cie AG , based in Zurich was a Swiss private bank . Her core activities included asset management , private banking and securities trading for private as well as institutional clients . Rüd, Blass & Cie employed almost 70 people and at the end of 2007 managed around 8.6 billion Swiss francs in client assets.

The company was founded in 1925 by Emil Friedrich-Jezler as Bankhaus Friedrich and focused mainly on securities trading and asset management. In 1958 the bank was taken over by Albert Rüd-Hofmann and Hans Mettler-Lavater. Jürg Blass-Tschudi joined them in 1961, as a result of which the bank was renamed Rüd, Blass & Cie . In 1987 the company was converted into a public limited company.

In 1994 Rüd, Blass & Cie AG was taken over by the Swiss insurance group Zurich Financial Services . In the course of concentrating on the insurance business, Zurich Financial Services sold the bank to the Swiss subsidiary of Deutsche Bank at the beginning of 2003 . As part of its realignment in the wealth management business in Switzerland, Deutsche Bank decided to dissolve Rüd, Blass & Cie AG in mid-2009 and to fully integrate its activities into its existing Swiss subsidiary.
