Rüdiger Blume

Rüdiger Blume (born December 17, 1941 in Hameln ) is professor of chemistry and chemistry education.

The son of the businessman Werner Blume began studying chemistry in Göttingen after serving in the Bundeswehr (1963) and switched to biochemistry in Tübingen in 1965. He earned a degree in biochemistry in 1973 and was in physical chemistry with the work in 1975 a new evaluation method for the spectroscopic analysis of multilevel, overlapping Protolysis equilibria doctorate . After completing his habilitation in chemistry and didactics of chemistry at the Pedagogical University of Westphalia-Lippe in 1978 , he was appointed professor at the department in Bielefeld. Since the dissolution of this college of education in 1980, he has been a member of the Faculty of Chemistry at Bielefeld University .

His main areas of work are methods of experimental environmental chemistry, development of experiments on modern content for chemistry lessons, textbook work and modern media.
