Rüdiger Maschwitz

Rüdiger Maschwitz, (* 1952 in Cologne) is a German Protestant theologian and qualified pedagogue for adult education.

Rüdiger Maschwitz studied Protestant theology and education at the University of Mainz from 1971 to 1976. He was the parish priest in Langenfeld (Rhineland) for 15 years . From 1993 to 2012 he was the pastor of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland for church work with children. Numerous works there have promoted a concept for community development with children and families. For the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland, he has been on the advisory board of the House of Silence in Rengsdorf, Ww.

His work focuses on two main areas: children's spirituality and contemplation on the path of prayer from the heart. He became known with his wife Gerda (* 1953), through his fundamental work on "Silent Exercises with Children" (1993), Fantasy Journeys and Imagination, and through his publications on the path of contemplation of the prayer of the heart.
