Rudiger Wilhelmi

Rüdiger Wilhelmi (* 1968 in Münster ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Konstanz .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hanover, Wilhelmi studied law at the universities of Tübingen and Leiden . After the first state examination in law in Tübingen, he worked there as a research assistant to Harm Peter Westermann before completing his legal clerkship at the higher court and taking his second state examination in Berlin in 2000. A year later Wilhelmi received his doctorate in law from Westermann in Tübingen.

From 2000 to 2002 Wilhelmi initially worked as an in-house lawyer in Munich, before returning to Westermann's Tübingen chair as a research assistant to devote himself to his habilitation. After Westermann's retirement in 2006, Wilhelmi switched to Gottfried Schiemann's chair and completed his habilitation there in 2007. He received the venia legendi for the subjects civil law, commercial and company law, business law and comparative law.

This was followed by substitute professorships at the universities of Munich , Hanover , Bielefeld and Trier . Since 2010 Wilhelmi has held the chair for civil law, commercial, corporate and economic law as well as comparative law at the University of Konstanz .
