Rüssl Räckords

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rüssl Räckords is the record label of comedian Otto Waalkes , which he founded together with his manager Hans Otto Mertens in 1972.

The label was founded because no record company wanted to publish the live recordings of Waalkes' performances. All of the comedian's 17 albums so far were published here from 1973 to 2006 (the exception is the dwarf song , which belongs to the film 7 dwarfs - men alone in the forest ) and in 1985 had a circulation of six million. In 1983 Rüssl Räckords produced the only album Jawoll by the Kassel band Jawoll of the same name .
