Amsterdam RAI

Amsterdam RAI is the exhibition and congress center of the city of Amsterdam in Amsterdam-Zuid .

RAI stands for R ijwiel en A uto I ndustrie , the Association of the Bicycle and Automotive Industry (RAI Vereniging) is the largest shareholder in the trade fair complex. The RAI was opened in 1961, after which it received numerous extensions. Alexander Bodon acted as the architect .

Around 70 trade fairs and 50 international conferences take place every year. Eleven hall sections and 48 conference rooms are available. The total area is 87,000 m².

The largest and oldest hall is the Europahal with over 12,000 seats. It was declared a Rijksmonument in 2015 together with the advertising pillar in front of it .
