RC4WD is a manufacturer and seller of radio controlled vehicles, parts and accessories. RC4WD was founded in 2001 in the San Francisco Bay Area . Their products were selected by NASA and are known from television and specialist magazines in many countries. RC4WD made parts for the fastest battery powered radio controlled car.
RC4WD story
RC4WD was founded in 2001 in a garage in the San Francisco Bay Area, California USA .
RC4WD started as a specialist shop (website) for RC Monster Truck and tuning parts. The business also grew thanks to the help of RCMT.net, a forum where RC monster truck enthusiasts meet.
In 2005 the company carried nearly 800 parts from companies such as Thundertech Racing, JPS, New Era Models, Imex, Defiance Racing, RC Alloy, Vertigo performance and other manufacturers. In 2007 the company moved to a small warehouse in San Jose. In July 2010 the first product was licensed: the "Dick Cepek Mud Country -1.9" tire. Since February 2011 you can buy parts from RC4WD at Horizon Hobby. Towerhobbies started selling RC4WD products in March 2014.
RC4WD models are now sold in the USA, Canada, Austria, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, England and Venezuela.
