RLZ handball Fürstenland
The Regional Performance Center Handball Fürstenland ( RLZ Handball Fürstenland ) is a cooperation in the junior area of the eastern Swiss handball clubs TSV Fortitudo Gossau , HC Flawil, HC Uzwil, TV Appenzell, KTV Wil and TV Herisau, which is regulated by agreement . President is Peter Streuli.
tasks
The primary aim is to jointly promote the greatest talents of the six parent clubs. The executive body is TSV Fortitudo Gossau.
The players selected annually from the pool of all clubs are divided into different performance categories depending on their age. The training takes place under conditions oriented towards competitive sport. The players play in the highest Swiss junior leagues of the Swiss Handball Federation . The aim is to ensure the youngsters for the national league team from Fortitudo Gossau, but also for the Fanion teams of the parent clubs.
If a player has no potential for the national league team at the end of the junior period, he will be returned to the home club. Due to the resulting lack of talent and the number of players in the various club teams, there is also cooperation in popular sports . If a club has too few players to provide a team, game communities are formed within the RLZ Fürstenland to support the club's activities.
history
In western eastern Switzerland there was no opportunity for talented handball players to work on their skills at the appropriate level with the necessary framework conditions. Peter Streuli, former head of "Young Talent" at Fortitudo Gossau and current athlete supervisor, brought the presidents of TSV Fortitudo Gossau, HC Uzwil, HC Flawil, TV Herisau, KTV Wil and TV Appenzell together to discuss funding opportunities for the most talented players. The RLZ handball Fürstenland was created. The A-license trainer Gianni Keller began work in the RLZ handball Fürstenland with an MU15 elite. When these players reached the age of MU17, the team was supplemented by the A-license trainer Raphael Kramer.
Annually promotions up to the highest league could be achieved. In addition to the hall, Streuli organized important framework conditions suitable for competitive sports. The cooperation with the parent clubs was intensified. At the medical level, a collaboration between sports doctor and physiotherapy was developed. Special coaches for goalkeepers and athletics were hired.
With these structures, the junior division continued to grow and after four years the MU19 was promoted to the Interliga. With this step, the last condition for the rookie label was fulfilled. The registration for the 2018/19 season was submitted and approved in the first instance. In the first year with the competitive sports label, the last elite ascent was achieved. Thus, the RLZ Fürstenland plays in the highest league for all age groups. In the 2018/19 season, the first three RLZ juniors were equipped with contracts for the national league team (currently: National League B ).

Rookie label
The rookie label is awarded by the Swiss handball association to junior departments that meet their performance-oriented requirements. In addition to the significantly higher compensation from Swiss Olympic and Jugend + Sport , the structures will be further improved. Since the sporting goals are met almost everywhere, the focus is on the individual training of the juniors. The players are encouraged and challenged in two weekly team training sessions, two technical training sessions and two athletic training sessions under the supervision of a trainer certified with a professional trainer diploma. An athlete supervisor is also available to clarify school and occupation as well as the corresponding medical care. Players who meet the requirements of the Swiss Olympic are awarded the Regional Talent Card , which in turn brings advantages in the organization of the everyday life of a competitive athlete with work, school and handball.
