RMF FM ( R adio M uzyka F akty FM) is a private Polish radio station Grupa RMF , a subsidiary of in Krakow based Bauer Publishing Group . It was founded in 1990 by Stanisław Tyczyński under the name R adio M ałopolska F un as the first Polish private radio . It is distributed nationwide.
program
The station mainly plays an accompanying program of pop and rock music , supplemented by special programs. Important programs are the POPLista hit parade , the morning program Wolno wstać (“You can get up”) and the news program Fakty RMF FM . Other styles are covered by the Broker FM transmitters RMF Maxxx and RMF Classic , as well as by the numerous Internet broadcasters.
The station's market share in 2011 was 25.39 percent.

RMF FM can be received nationwide via antenna in Poland. The station can also be received via Internet stream and digitally via satellite (since 1992 via Hot Bird ).
Internet programs
Around 100 internet stations are available under the title RMF ON , covering almost every conceivable music genre. For example, there are oldies stations for every single decade (from the 50s), sometimes also for dance and disco , stations from classical to alternative , sung poetry and electronic music to different dance styles, topics (e.g. Christmas music) or cultures (Cuba, Celtic) etc.
Concert series Inwazja mocy
RMF FM organized the open-air concerts Inwazja mocy on Kościuszki Hill in Kraków from 1995 to 2000. The festival in 2000 a. a. With Joe Cocker and the Scorpions, it was the largest open-air event in Polish history, depending on the estimate with around 700,000 to almost 800,000 visitors, but it also led to larger riots by hooligans .
