rTorrent is a free BitTorrent client programmed in C ++ for the command line of practically all POSIX -compatible operating systems. It uses the Ncurses program library for display and is therefore suitable for use with Screen or dtach . Furthermore, the software can be controlled with XML-RPC via SCGI . There are numerous front ends, including several web interfaces .
libTorrent
As a frontend, rTorrent is based on the BitTorrent library libTorrent by the same author (not to be confused with the BitTorrent library libtorrent from Rasterbar Software).
Important features of the program include: a. Protocol obfuscation , peer exchange (PEX), distributed hash table (DHT) and superseeding .
