Raúl Barboza (* 1938 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentinian accordionist .

As a child, Raúl Barboza was a celebrated accordionist in his homeland, who appeared as an interpreter of folk music from northern Argentina, Chamamé . His first LP with the group Irupé was released in 1950. Since then countless recordings have been made by him, among others with Juanjo Domínguez, Mercedes Sosa , Paco de Lucía , Cesária Évora . His recordings King of chamame (1989) and Collaborations (various artists) have been released in Germany . Raúl Barboza now lives in Paris.
