Raúl Landeros , also known by the nickname Tarzán , is a retired Mexican soccer player in the position of goalkeeper .

biography

Landeros began his professional career in the 1944/45 season with the capital club CF Asturias , where he acted as a replacement for the goalkeeping legend "Pulques" León . After a year he moved to the new in the Mexican Primera División captured Club Deportivo Tampico and stood at the Erstligadebüt against Atlante in the gate, which was lost with 3:10. Despite the ten goals he conceded, Landeros was still one of the best players in his team and from then on was not only a regular goalkeeper at his club, but was also the first goalkeeper after a nine and a half year international break in the goal of the Mexican national team , which won the NAFC championship , which was held for the first time in July 1947 .
