The Radboud Universitair Medisch Centrum or Radboudumc for short is a university hospital in Nijmegen , the Netherlands .
In 1956 the Academic Ziekenhuis Nijmegen was founded by the Stichting Katholieke Universiteit (Catholic University Foundation). Since the hospital and the medical faculty of Radboud University Nijmegen merged in 1999, the university and clinic have been institutionally linked.
The Radboudumc has 935 beds and around 9900 employees work in more than 50 wards and polyclinics. More than 3,200 students are trained in various courses (Human Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Dentistry and Molecular Mechanisms of Disease ).
