Radical Dreamers - Nusumenai Hoseki ( Jap. ラジカル·ドリーマーズ-盗めない宝石- , Rajikaru Dorīmāzu - Nusumenai Hoseki , dt. Radical Dreamers - The unstehlbare jewel ) is a 1996 published video game of Japanese games company Square for Nintendo SNES game console. It is a sound novel - text adventure with action elements, which can be described as the successor to the very successful game Chrono Trigger . Radical Dreamers is one of Square's contributions to Nintendo's failed SNES add-on system Satellaview .

In the game, the aim of the hero Serge with the support of two friends is to steal the legendary "Frozen Flame", whereby the story splits into several paths with different storylines when you play it through again (a so-called " New Game + "). Some elements of the plot of the predecessor Chrono Trigger are included.

Originally, the game was only released in Japan and was never officially translated into other languages. This is responsible for the low level of awareness in the West. However, the plot and characters were reused in Chrono Cross , which was released in the US and enjoyed great success. There is also an unofficial English translation of the game by Demiforce. Based on this, a German version has now been published.

Yasunori Mitsuda is responsible for the soundtrack of the game , who also provided the background music for the pre- and sequels and helped to shape the basic mood of the series with his style.
