Radio4TNG is a private Swiss youth radio. The program is broadcast from Oberwinterthur . It is produced exclusively by teenagers and young adults. The radio can be received via DAB + in the Zurich, Winterthur, Schaffhausen, Rapperswil and Baden regions. It can also be heard via the website and app.
history
The association that carries the radio was founded on May 25, 2013. It dealt with procuring the equipment for the radio. Due to the almost simultaneous renovation of Radio 24 Studio 1, the association was able to take over the entire studio. On July 3, 2013, construction work began at the Holzlegi leisure facility in Winterthur. These were completed in mid-August and the radio was able to start broadcasting on August 18, 2013 at midnight. Initially, the youth radio could only be received via the Internet.
In February 2014, April 2015 and June / July 2016 it was audible via VHF for one month each in the Winterthur region . From September 2014, the youth radio could initially be received in the Zurich region, and from June 2016 also in the Winterthur region. It was later expanded in the direction of Schaffhausen, Baden and Rapperswil.
In 2015, the youth radio moved from the Holzlegi to the old bus depot on Deutweg . It stayed there until 2018. Then it moved to the former SBB premises at Oberwinterthur station .
program
The station's program consists of non-stop music for the target group and special programs in the evening, including after work, concerts or indie music.
