Radio Holiday is a German-speaking radio broadcaster based in Bruneck , South Tyrol . It is broadcast via 13 FM stations and DAB + and can therefore be received throughout the country. Radio Holiday is a format radio that broadcasts mainly pop music . The station takes on the Südtirol Journal as its news program . Radio Holiday is the oldest still active radio station in South Tyrol and is of great importance as a regional radio.

history

The story of Radio Holiday began in the autumn of 1977 when Christian Beikircher and Oswald Rastner started broadcasting in a cellar in Reischach. At that time, almost only hits and folk music were known in South Tyrol. Radio Holiday also brought songs in Italian and English that were particularly appealing to young listeners. In 1985 the station moved to Bruneck because the basement studio was too small. In 1999 Radio Holiday was taken over by Pustertaler Medien GmbH. In 2004 the station moved into new studios in the upper town of Bruneck. Today he has 11 employees.
