The Südtirol Journal is a radio news program from South Tyrol ( Italy ) produced by the Radio Media International (RMI) agency . It is broadcast by a network of eight local radio stations: Südtirol 1 , Radio Tirol , Radio Grüne Welle , Radio Nord , Radio Gherdëina Dolomites , Radio Holiday , Tele Radio Vinschgau and Stadtradio Meran .

The Südtirol Journal was founded in 1995 by several private South Tyrolean radio stations with the task of offering a joint lunchtime magazine with independent news, information and interviews from regional and national events. In November 1997 the offer was expanded to include an hourly news broadcast .

Transmission area

The stations broadcasting the Südtirol Journal cover the whole of South Tyrol, Trentino and peripheral areas of Austria and Switzerland terrestrially with over 100 frequencies . The technical range can therefore be given as 960,000 listeners. The daily reach of the Südtirol Journal was determined with an average of 194,000 listeners.
